Embera

Beginning with a six hour boat trip through the meandering rivers of the Darién Province, my trip to an Embera village revealed a side of Panama that I had never heard of before. Because of the lack of fast and easy transport, there is little to no infrastructure within this isolated region between Colombia and Panama. That being said, the locals were incredibly warm and willing to teach outsiders about the traditions and stories of the jungle. A warm thank you to the people of Bayamon for allowing me to create this visual poem of my stay in their village.
