WALKING
A short meditation on walking as a way of seeing, filmed not through two cameras but through two eyes. One eye practises fast looking, catching surfaces, gestures and passing events as they arrive, while the other practises slow looking, lingering until the visible begins to disclose something more than its first appearance. These become two modes of perception, looking at an event and looking into it, moving between recognition and attention, between what immediately appears and what slowly emerges. Walking holds these two kinds of seeing together, allowing the world to be encountered both in passing and in depth.
